We are located near Eaglesfield, in Dumfriesshire, South West Scotland. We are situated only six miles from historic Gretna Green, in a peaceful woodland. Despite being such a quiet setting, we are only two miles from the M74, and 17 miles from Carlisle. We are just over an hour from Edinburgh, Glasgow and Newcastle and around two hours from Manchester - Springkell is easily accessible and totally private.

We provide a completely bespoke service and want to say yes to every single request - please contact us as we would love to make your dreams come true at Springkell!

This happens to us all - it's easy to do! We will happily send back any lost property to you. We charge a small fee for administration and packaging, starting from £10 for smaller items. 

We have two electric vehicle charging points available for use when you stay with us.

Did you know Springkell is heated by green energy? Throughout the year we chop logs from our own fallen trees that are subsequently processed in our Biomass boiler. Burning our own logs is hugely sustainable - none of which come from further than a mile away from the house. We only use trees that have fallen down, and we plant double the number that fall down too to maintain our incredible woodland and gardens.

At Springkell, we want to say yes to any idea you have. We make your dream wedding a reality - every wedding here is very unique. You'll have the whole place to yourself. It is a peaceful Scottish haven, but also very easy to reach by car or train.

We are very flexible and offer any type of wedding, from an intimate gathering to a large party. Our pricing varies from £1495 for a wedding for two people. Consult our wedding calculator which allows you to add basic information and receive an instant estimation for your day.

Of course! However you imagine your wedding is what we can provide at Springkell. 

You can marry here, in our Ceremony Room or Ballroom, or outside in our Round Garden or on the South Lawn. Alternatively, you could get married in your own church and have your reception at Springkell and stay the night here. Springkell is fully licensed to host Civil, Religious, and Humanist wedding ceremonies, same sex Civil Partnerships ceremonies, and wedding blessings, both inside the house and in the gardens.

21 en-suite rooms are available in the main house as well as 3 cottages, which means we can sleep a total of 66 guests.

Yes! We are dog friendly and charge £10 per dog per night.
